Our People

“Explore, Engage, Empower”

So many great events happen around North Allegheny, but it’s easy to miss them. Students are looking for volunteer opportunities, families want fun ways to spend time together, and local organizations need a helping hand. That’s when our founders, John and Rosa Allegheny, had an idea: what if there was one place where everyone could find it all?

And just like that, the North Allegheny Community Hub was born.

Our Values

Community First

Small Actions Matter

Joy in Giving

We live by the belief that community comes first, and our goal is to bring the community together.

Even one hour of volunteering or one small gift can make a profound difference in someone’s life.

Whether it be a day out or a charity drive, getting involved and giving back should be fun.

Our Memories

A collection of recent memories from our community.

From Our Borough

Jeannine D. – Student

“I’m a student at North Allegheny. I’m currently trying to get volunteer hours for Key Club, so I’m joining all of the events that I can do to help. This is a really good resource for finding volunteer hours, especially ones where I can actually attend!”

Jane K. – Senior Resident

“My bones aren’t what they used to be, but I still love going on walks around Suncrest Park. It used to be very lively, you know, back in the day when kids would always play together there. Now kids want to stare at their screens all day, so it’s lovely to see North Allegheny Community Hub promoting events that encourage people to get outside and explore the park again.”

Jon S. – Owner of Pittsburgh Pantry Food Bank

“I’m a non-profit organizer in North Allegheny. I didn’t actually set out to run a non-profit when I was younger, but I knew people were struggling. I had to do something; we’re a community. So, I made a non-profit to help the struggling and desperate people that I saw on the streets, and you know where they led us–to success and longtime partner of North Allegheny Community Hub!”

“My granddaughter introduced NA Community Hub to me two years ago, and boy I am so glad she did. After I retired, I feel like I have lost purpose of what to do with the remainder of my life. But this Hub constantly reminds me of all the fun things there are to do in the Pittsburgh area. Thank you, NA Community Hub!” -Patrick S.
